P90X Week 6
Monday, 18 July 2011 07:40 pmSome pretty big changes this week! I'm excited. I was able to fit into a skirt that I haven't been able to fit into for almost two years. It's still snug, but I'm making progress! I still don't feel like I can really "see" the progress, but my measurements, and now my clothes, don't lie. It's great to have some affirmation that all this working out is actually DOING something. I'm still struggling with pushups... I'm still doing girly pushups, and I can do like... half of a one-armed pushup. Hopefully by the time I'm done I'll be able to do two. That's my goal. :) And I've seen weight changes everywhere but in my hips... hopefully that'll change soon.

Date: 2011-07-19 02:12 pm (UTC)I actually hit 149.4 this morning! For some reason, though, Tuesdays are my 'lowest' day, and then I cycle up by about a pound the next day, and then it slowly drops down the rest of the week.
BUT.
I cut my diet by ~100 calories a day, and last week the weight drop was steeper. I'm wondering if it's really going to make that big of a difference. I also upped my fat intake, so we'll see what happens. :)
I agree with you about the weird body image blinders. I think I have them both ways. When I was thin in high school, I didn't see it. When I got fat, I didn't see it. It was really only when I saw my mom 2 years ago and realised we only had a 10 pound difference in our weights that it hit home that I'd become a tent. (We have the exact. same. body type/build, no joke.) And seeing that 10 drop is nice. I'll be super happy when I hit below 145... since 145 was the lowest I got about 2 years ago before I started gaining weight back.
